We have steel frame/skids with an insulated floor left over from a cancelled order and are offering them up for sale.
13’x20’ steel frame/skid with insulated wood floor. W6 welded frame with double treated 2×6 sill plate bolted to steel, treated ½’’ plywood on underside, 2×6 floor joists on 16’’ centers with R12 fiber glass batt insulation and 5/8” T&G plywood floor.

Requirements for Log Structures
In 2015, the National Building Code introduced significant changes regarding energy efficiency requirements of log construction dwellings. Since 2016, it is mandatory to hire a general contractor OR obtain an owner builder authorization (for info visit the website: ownerbuildertraining.com) in order to build a dwelling, if a building permit is required. Engineered plans are needed for any log structure, in order to acquire a building permit.
Information is available from your local building authority / Regional District (civicinfo.bc.ca/regionaldistricts) where you are planning on building in. If a building permit is required for your project, BC Log Cabins Inc. can only supply and install the log frame of the cabin and provide the tongue & groove (T&G) boards for the insulated wall system.
